SyncBridge – Privacy Notice
SyncBridge is a GovTech tool that keeps your Outlook (M365) calendar and Google Calendar in sync so you can see your schedule in one place and avoid double-bookings.
What data SyncBridge uses
From Outlook (via CalSync)
SyncBridge does not connect directly to your Exchange mailbox. It only reads calendar data that CalSync has already sanitised, limited to non-sensitive details:
Event title
Date and time
Location
Attendees
Busy / free status
SG-Team / meeting links (where present)
CalSync supports unclassified information only. Classified information must not be stored in your Outlook calendar if you intend to sync it.
From Google Calendar
With your consent, SyncBridge connects to a specific Google Calendar and may read or create events using:
Event title
Date and time
Location
Attendees
Busy / free status
Event description (for example, to carry over video-call links)
SyncBridge does not access your Gmail content, Drive files, or contacts.
How SyncBridge uses your data
We use your calendar information only to:
Copy non-declined events between Outlook (via CalSync) and Google Calendar
Keep your busy / free status accurate in both systems
Operate, secure, and improve the SyncBridge service (for example, troubleshooting errors and monitoring service health)
We do not use your calendar data for marketing or profiling.
How your data is protected
All data between SyncBridge, CalSync and Google is sent over encrypted connections.
Data is stored on GovTech-managed systems with access controls and monitoring.
CalSync's existing controls continue to apply to all Outlook calendar data; SyncBridge builds on top of that.
SyncBridge does not share, transfer, or disclose any of your calendar data to any third parties.
SyncBridge does not retain any of your calendar data.
Please avoid putting classified or highly sensitive details (for example, investigation details) into event titles, locations or descriptions that will be synced.
Your choices
Using SyncBridge is optional.
You can offboard from SyncBridge at any time; after offboarding, your calendars will no longer be synced.
You can also revoke SyncBridge's access to your Google Calendar via your Google account settings.
